Customer Reviews
Custom covers protecting outdoor furniture across the country.
"Ordered a custom cover for my L-shaped outdoor lounge — it fits absolutely perfectly. The fabric is heavy-duty and it survived two Queensland summers without fading. Worth every cent."
"Finally — a BBQ cover that actually fits. I have a custom outdoor kitchen island and nothing off the shelf comes close. Delivery was quick and the quality is excellent."
"The daybed cover is perfect — no bunching, no gaps, the tie-downs keep it on in strong wind. I've bought generic covers before but nothing compares to having one made to measure."

Got Questions?
Everything you need to know about our custom outdoor furniture covers.
Standard covers are sold in three or four fixed sizes. Most furniture falls between them — leaving you with a cover that's too loose, pools water, flaps in the wind and lets weather in at the base. A made-to-measure cover drops cleanly over your piece, sits flush at every edge, and stays put in wind because there's no excess fabric to catch it.
Each product page includes a specific measuring guide for that cover type. In most cases you need overall width, depth and height at the widest points. Don't add extra centimetres — the correct ease for fitting is built into the pattern. When in doubt, contact us with a photo and rough dimensions and we'll confirm the measurements before production starts.
Every cover uses 200gsm solution-dyed polyester with a polyurethane waterproof undercoating. Solution-dyed means the pigment runs through every fibre — not surface-applied — so the colour stays fast under Australian UV. The PU undercoating is flexible, stays bonded through heat cycles and won't crack the way PVC coatings do after a season in the sun.
Yes. The polyurethane coating bonded to the underside creates a fully waterproof barrier — rain beads and runs off immediately without soaking through. Seams are double-folded and twice-stitched to seal every panel join against water ingress.
Standard turnaround is 4 weeks from order confirmation. Express is 3 weeks, and Priority Express is 10–14 days. Once dispatched, tracked courier delivery takes 2–7 business days depending on your location. You'll receive tracking details as soon as your cover ships.
Yes — we deliver to all states and territories: NSW, VIC, QLD, WA, SA, TAS, ACT and NT. We use reliable tracked courier services so you always know where your order is.
Covers are available in black, light grey and brown — all of which suit most outdoor settings. Colour selection is part of the ordering process on each product page.
Because every cover is made to your specific measurements, we cannot accept change-of-mind returns. If your cover arrives with a manufacturing defect or we've made an error on our end, we will remake or refund at no cost. This is why we confirm your measurements before beginning production.
Rinse the outside with a garden hose every couple of months, especially after heavy rain or a dusty period. For stubborn marks, wipe with warm soapy water and allow to air dry fully before putting it back on. Do not machine wash — agitation breaks down the waterproof coating. Store in the included drawstring carry bag when not in use.
Our range covers treadmills, outdoor spas, mounted TVs, patio heaters, pallets, cushion storage, table tennis tables, outdoor umbrellas and more. If it lives outside and needs protecting, contact us — if you can measure it, we can make a cover for it.
Complete Buying Guide
Choosing the right custom outdoor furniture covers is one of the most effective things you can do to extend the life of your outdoor living space. This guide covers everything from materials and measurement to comparing cover types and what makes a quality custom cover worth buying.
Walk into any hardware store and you'll find standard outdoor furniture covers in a handful of sizes — medium, large, extra-large. The problem is that outdoor furniture doesn't conform to these categories. A modular lounge with a right-arm chaise, a custom outdoor kitchen island, or an oversized round daybed simply cannot be covered effectively by something designed for a fictional average.
Custom outdoor furniture covers solve this completely. Cut and sewn to your exact measurements, every edge is covered, every corner hugs the furniture profile, and every fastening point is placed where it's needed. The difference in protection — and in appearance — is immediately obvious.
For Australians in particular, this matters more than in most climates. Australian UV intensity, coastal salt air, sudden and intense summer storms, and wide temperature swings mean outdoor furniture is under constant assault. A cover that fits well lasts longer, protects better and looks more professional on your patio or deck.
The most important material consideration when evaluating custom outdoor covers is the outer fabric. Solution-dyed polyester is the benchmark because the colour is added to the polymer before it's formed into fibres — it runs all the way through each thread. This is fundamentally different from surface-dyed fabrics, which begin to fade within a season or two of Australian UV exposure as the surface coating breaks down.
At 200gsm, the fabric is heavy enough to hold its shape over furniture in wind, but light enough that one person can put it on and take it off without a struggle.
Not all waterproofing is equal. Surface-applied coatings wear off with UV exposure and cleaning. A PU coating bonded to the inner face of the fabric creates a true waterproof barrier that cannot wash off or peel. When rain hits the cover, it beads and runs off immediately without soaking through to your furniture cushions, timber frames or metal components.
PU also stays flexible through heat cycles — it won't crack at fold lines the way PVC does after a season in the sun. This matters for BBQ covers in particular, which go through repeated warm-cool cycles every time the unit is used.
Australia receives some of the highest UV radiation levels in the world. UV stabilisers embedded in the fabric during manufacture prevent the molecular breakdown that causes colour fading, brittleness and ultimately failure of outdoor fabrics. Non-stabilised materials can begin to fail within eighteen months in full sun. A properly stabilised fabric and coating will typically give five to seven years of useful life.
Accurate measurement is the foundation of a perfectly fitting cover. The general principle is to measure the maximum external dimensions of your furniture at its widest points in each direction. For most pieces this means overall width, depth and height including any raised elements like cushion backs or open lids.
Each product page on this site includes a specific measuring guide for that cover type. Don't add extra centimetres — the correct ease for fitting is built into the pattern. If you're unsure, send us a photo and your rough dimensions and we'll confirm the measurements before production starts.
The largest and most varied category. From a simple two-seater sofa through to corner lounges, lounge settings, lounge chairs, and curved lounges — each requires precise measurement to work effectively. Off-the-shelf covers simply don't exist for most configurations.
From a compact two-burner on a trolley through to a full built-in BBQ or pizza oven. Because outdoor BBQs vary so widely, custom-made is the only practical solution for complete coverage.
Round daybeds, sun lounges, and outdoor swing chairs all have distinct dimensional requirements. The complexity of these shapes makes a custom approach the only way to achieve proper coverage without excess fabric.
Round, oval and rectangular table covers, plus bar settings. Each accommodates the full geometry of the piece including chairs positioned around the table.
Individual chair covers, stool covers and egg chair covers — cut to your exact dimensions so they sit snug and stay on in wind.
Treadmills, outdoor spas, mounted TVs, patio heaters, pallets, cushion storage, table tennis tables, and outdoor umbrellas. If it lives outdoors and needs protecting, we can cover it.
Quality outdoor furniture is expensive. A premium lounge setting, a custom outdoor kitchen, or a resort-style daybed can represent thousands of dollars. UV radiation will bleach and degrade exposed fabric within two to three seasons. Repeated rain exposure without proper drainage can cause timber components to split, metals to rust and wicker to unravel.
A quality custom cover, properly fitted and cared for, can extend the functional life of your outdoor furniture by five to ten years. When you consider the cost of replacing a premium outdoor setting versus the modest cost of a made-to-measure cover, the return on investment is clear. Custom Cover Company ships Australia-wide — whether you're protecting a rooftop terrace in Sydney, a sprawling backyard on the Gold Coast, or a coastal alfresco in Fremantle, your covers will arrive ready to fit and built to last.
